James Welter started working in the furniture industry shortly after High School by working as an upholster at a company in Jefferson, WI then went on in obtaining an engineering degree. In 2013 following a dream, applied for a patent in 2014, working hard with many setbacks, through perseverance, in 2018 received a patent on a part that can be applied to reclining furniture that will allow them to function the same, but, without a mechanism, in 2019 with the help of a great friend, I applied for a trademark and received it:

- Woodworking and furniture repair has been a lifelong adventure, I can recall ripping apart my first chair, and helping my dad build a doghouse. Coming from a furniture making and woodworking family taught me the values of caring for older pieces of furniture, each caring their own heirloom.
